Let’s be honest. We sometimes act as if we fear those in charge. As if we must please them at all cost. At other times we find ourselves shying away from taking charge, compelling Exco to step in and solve things on our behalf. Or, in the other extreme, we sometimes storm ahead with things that we are not in charge of…

To change this, we must hold each other accountable:

“No, Manager, this is my role. Let me take care of it.” 

Or: “Don’t make your problem mine. I may be the manager, but you have the mandate and the competence for this. Take care of it.”
